HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR

HAND TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS

Our guidelines on how to maintain & protect your hair wefts for long-lasting wear.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Clean & Protect

Wash and condition your hair extensions with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Let the conditioner sit for 5 minutes before rinsing.

DAVINES OI SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER

Towel dry when possible and apply a leave-in conditioner to ensure hair extensions are nourished. Be sure to get your ends good too!

GO TO: DAVINES OI ALL IN ONE MILK

Always protect hair extensions from heated tools by using a thermal heat protector. This will prevent your hair from burning and causing damage to the wefts.

***Remember! Your extensions are attached to your head and do not receive the same nutrients nor produce the natural oils your natural hair does.

WE'VE GOT YOUR CROWN!

Brushing & Sleeping

Use a professional extension brush to avoid breakage and damage to hair. Everything Hand Tied Hair Extension Brushes are specially designed for all hair extension types.

Hold the weft track at the top while brushing your hair. DO NOT rake bristles over the hair track.

RECOMMENDATION:

DON’T BE SCARED TO GET IN THERE & BRUSH

Braiding or styling the hair into a bun before bed is very important to protect hair from damage while sleeping. Use a weightless serum to lock in moisture.

RECOMMENDATION:

DAVINES OI OIL

Sleep with a satin pillowcase at night. You cause friction when you move your head while sleeping. This friction prevents the hair from moving feely and can cause mating if you're using a cotton pillowcase. Plus satin pillowcases help prevent wrinkles as well!

WHAT NOT TO DO ❌

Avoid the following as much as possible to prolong the life of your hair wefts,

DO NOT sleep with wet hair. This can cause mating to the hair extensions wefts and/or issues with the hair weft track itself. Make sure the hair is 95% dry before you catch some shut-eye.

DO NOT submerge hair in salt or chlorine water. We advise wearing your hair in a high bun while lounging in the water.

DO NOT USE sunscreen with Avobenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane). It is an oil-soluble ingredient used to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays. It can and WILL turn hair extensions orange, especially for you blonde babes! Read the ingredient label before applying. We always advise using caution when using any sunscreen.

Do not use ANY products containing the following ingredients on hair extension wefts! They will cause damage to your glamourous mane.

When Installing Our Everything Wefts

Stylists: Make sure that you are always advising your clients that they need to be aware of melting the seam of their Everything Weft when it comes to using hot tools.

They need to be careful not to directly hit the seam with a curling iron or flat iron, etc. when styling their hair. The seam can melt if high, direct heat is applied to it, and the hair will shed with no seam in place.

DISCLAIMER: Everything Hand Tied Is NOT Responsible If Any Of The Above Products Are Used On The Hair Extension Wefts OR If A Client Was Not Fully Educated By Their Stylist On How To Maintain Their Hair.
